Taiwan's PQI, Japan's TDK Form NAND Flash JV

Taiwan's PQI (Power Quotient International) announced on August 6 that it and TDK of Japan have further extended their cooperation by establishing a joint venture dedicated to storage solutions for industrial and commercial-use PCs. Under the agreement, the two parities will jointly develop and market DOM (Disk on Module) and SSD (Solid State Disk) based on NAND flash technology. PQI is expected to contribute 40% of the initial capital, and TDK the remaining 60%. Financial details of the deal were not yet revealed.
